LE CORPS MINCE DE FRANCOISE
Le Corps Mince de Francoise formed as a pop raving trio consisting of sisters Emma and Mia Kemppainen and Malin Nyqvist in 2007. Being kids in the scene these hip girls has through the use of modern technology such as facebook, myspace and youtube as their promotion tools quickly earned their share of internet fame. Their upbeat electro pop was picked up and posted on various blogs during this spring and thats only a mere beginning, Come 2009 and these experimental pop chicks with their energetic live performances and stupid hairdos are gonna be rulers of the world.

BASS CLEF
This is the sound of the revenge of drum and bass. Expelled from pompous clubs, Bass Clef has reclaimed a genre and hurled it far beyond the generic. It’s urban, it’s intense but with its low end theory of production it aims and generally hits high, as if its creator was already in the gutter gazing skyward. A complete lack of digital equipment in the recording only enhances its its austere existence as its cavernous bass, ricocheting drums and grotesque dub workouts slowly yeild a contradictory portrait of the decaying capital city that spawned it.

ANAVAN have shared staged with NO MEANS NO, CRYSTAL CASTLES and MONOTONIX; they’ve toured with HEALTH and CLIP’D BEAKS; they’ve lent their gear to a thousand other bands you have and haven’t heard of, and they’re just getting started. Flagbearers for no particular scene or agenda, ANAVAN are as unique a Los Angeles institution as Ron Jeremy, The Smell, and taco trucks. And no, they in fact are not from Alaska.
