Welcome to a very special night at the theater. Tonight is one of those evenings that really highlights everything we love about improv.
We get to share two completely different, but equally wonderful performances. On one hand, we get to watch our own community take a massive, joyful swing at ancient Greek mythology, finding the silly, human moments hidden inside a classic epic. On the other, we have the rare privilege of hosting two master teachers—Maro from Athens and Gabriel from São Paulo—sharing a beautiful, intimate duo show they’ve built across continents.
It’s a night of big, chaotic ensemble energy balanced by quiet, world-class connection. We’re so glad you’re here to share it with us.
Eagerly Waiting
We are thrilled to present Eagerly Waiting, a captivating duo performance by our visiting guest teachers, Maro Lesioti (Athens, Greece) and Gabriel Caropreso (São Paulo, Brazil). Originally born as an innovative trans-Atlantic live project connecting Brazil and Greece, this show unites two distinct, multidisciplinary forces on one stage.
Featuring:
- Maro Lesioti: A versatile actress and classical pianist whose poetic, "kinesthetic" style is rooted in the "radical act of acceptance."
- Gabriel Caropreso: A renowned clown and musician celebrated globally for blending rhythmic musicality with masterful comedic timing.
Together, their shared theatrical foundations promise a mesmerizing set filled with physical comedy, intricate rhythms, and deeply authentic, in-the-moment connection.
The Odyssey: An Improvised Epic
Prepare to embark on one of the most imaginative journeys in literary history—completely unscripted. Following an intensive workshop, a cast of advanced improvisers will build expansive worlds inspired by the themes, structure, and poetic rhythms of Homer’s Odyssey.

- Myth meets Comedy: A brilliant balancing act that swings from epic, heroic adventures to ridiculous, absurdly human folly.
- Expansive Storytelling: An ensemble navigating mythical creatures and divine mishaps through dynamic physicality and voice.
