"Bibliotheque Pascal" is a 2010 Hungarian fantasy drama directed and written by Szabolcs Hajdu. It tells the story of Mona, a mother fighting to regain custody of her daughter. To achieve this goal she needs to share her story with a social worker. Through the nightmarish and complex vision of her own reality, she tackles pain and trauma that led her to a place where she is now. The harrowing truth of her fortune emerges in the form of a web of interwoven narratives in which real life and imagination find common ground. "Bibliotheque Pascal" was chosen as the Hunagrian entry for the 83rd Academy Awards.
